Nowruz 1404 (2025)

New Persian Year; Making Time More Meaningful

Posted by Intelligent Science and Design Foundation on March 29, 2025 · 2 mins read

We've all felt it—another year passed in the blink of an eye. Time seems to move quickly each year, but there are ways to slow it down and make every moment count. As we step into 1404, I’d like to share a few personal reflections on how to make the most of the new year:

1. Learning New Skills

Challenge yourself by picking up a new skill, whether it’s cooking, painting, learning a new language, or coding. Engaging in active learning helps make time more tangible.

2. Planning

Create a list of your major goals and break them into smaller, manageable tasks. Whether it’s completing a student project, buying a car, or finishing something left undone from last year, tracking progress helps you see time in action.

3. Personal Development

Focus on self-improvement throughout the year. By the end of year, ask yourself: What positive traits have I developed? (e.g., scientific curiosity, patience, better communication) and what negative habits have I overcome? (e.g., procrastination, lack of commitment).

4. Impact on Society

What positive changes will you bring to your workplace, university, or community this year? Consider engaging in volunteer work or helping others in their journeys. Even small efforts can create lasting change.

5. Understanding Life

Take time to reflect: Why have you been given another year? What are you seeking in life, especially in this coming year? A deeper understanding of life’s purpose prevents time from slipping away unnoticed.

As we begin 1404, I’d love to hear your thoughts: How long did 1403 feel for you, and why? Let’s make this year more intentional, more meaningful, and more fulfilling.
